Who needs to be registered?

\n

All those who provide currency exchange services. Either a chain of currency exchange offices or an individual or hotel currency exchange office. Currency exchange activity can be defined as the exchange of one fiat currency for another currency at an exchange rate offered in advance. As far as currency exchange activity is concerned, the object of exchange is invariably hard currency, meaning actual money (cash). Exchange activity is governed by the Act No 277/2013 Sb. on Currency Exchange. When a transaction involves non-cash exchange, it is a matter of non-cash exchange. In such case, however, this is not exchange activity, but the payment service of a non-cash foreign currency transaction according to Section 3(1)(f) of the Act on Payment Services. Such activity requires a small-scale payment service provider licence.
